The air has moved from cool to crisp,
Each leaf is now colored pretty,
Or gone from where its lived these
Last eight months, curling down
To leaves a plenty, from small green
Growths upon a tree, and another,
And the water is crisply cool, not yet
Frozen, as it traces down the dam.
The birds are gone, the rabbits and
Squirrels now hide and begin to eat
Their layup for these colder days,
The beginning, the 13th of November.
