This painted beast of yesteryear sits idly by, off to the side of the road; it's hood-rockets, though now tarnished and off-gray in color, are still proudly leading this four-door car through the imaginary parade of wants and wonders.
All windows appeared to work the last time they were rolled up through the vinyl covered handles, that spun like holding sunshine, and the seats as big as anything on four wheels, with leather or cloth, now faded through seventy three years of laughter, love and sweet comfort.
It looks as though red, white and blue might have been seen through the faded colors, but now it sits beside the road, with what you could feel as its teeth geared up, the engine at silent idle, and it wanting to set the highway afire again.
