A picture postcard of this church was made in 1909, 113 years ago by someone on the campaign to show the church. Two years beyond Oklahoma becoming a state. Beside the fact that the picture was made in black and white, and the only difference between the building in the picture and the building now, is the sign on the left front side, which is in black and white.
The church is still First Presbyterian of Chelsea, as it was back then and it is still setting on the corner, looking out on Oklahoma, living and lasting more years than any resident of this town.
The buildings, the gravestones, and the memories of people who lived and loved, are the longest lasting pieces of our lives.
