Ice

When you walk the street, the buildings wrap around you, and capture the wind blowing and it maneuvers its way around your neck, in the sleeves of your coat, at the tips of your socks and makes your skin feel the breath of winter all the way you to your heart.

When you work the fields, and checking and fixing fence is that piece of work that must be done, and the wind blows across twenty two miles of ground bearing no measure of resistance, the cold starts at the brim of the hat and ends at breakfast the next day.
