Blue

The absoluteness of life grabs ahold of your neck,

It shakes and chokes and makes it feel that it is done.

Carrying the heavy burdens, the packs on shoulders,

The times and crosses we’ve each to bare.

Then it splashes that wet energy, that warmth of day,

The color so bright, it cannot be real,

But it is, together, so blue.
