Elsa made her waltzing way,
Blasting from south and west,
To north and east, and curling
Up the eastern coast, rolling
The wind in giant rushes,
Leaving behind the trees
The pieces as it mauled on up
To blow its way past.
Amelia Island, where east is water,
As is north, and south and west,
There lies the victims of the storm,
All splayed and tumbled and wrapt around,
There outer shells is all that’s left,
Some half buried in the sand,
All the rest will say goodbye,
As the water greets their souls.
