Just a little bit down the road,
Cross that tiny crossing,
Around the curve so tight, to the left and that one back to the right,
And in the thicket of trees that provide shade to the soul that watches,
You can find it there, just a barn,
Just the right side of its holdings,
Park by the door on the left,
I’ll be there afore you know it,
To clear those bales, and make that stack,
To keep them all alive, all winter long. It’s hot now, but cold as it will ever be, that cold morning just months away.
