In the total night, there is that crushing feeling of darkness, that impending, neck hair curling, physical dampening of spirit that can make you feel as low as anything ever has or ever will. It can make you treasure the moments of your life for just seconds, until your breath is captured again by the feeling of being totally alone, taken by the loss of something that carries so much pressure of the day behind and the day ahead, and make the night feel eternal.
On those nights, when darkness does abound, and life seems wrapped in in the vapid sense, stop. Just for a minute, for a few seconds, and look up, above where the horizon might sit in your mind and pour your heart into the reflection of the bright sun, as it crosses the moon, and will spill itself against your shadows. Most days, some part of that light, is searching for you .
