Within the walls of four posted front porch, and two stories of day and night, with the back built in to block the sun, and the chimney up the center of the old portion of the house, there was love.
Look closely and you will see the windows that let the sun shine in on the residents there. The end of the house was built on, with a window peering out over the top of the porch cover, and looking out over its end.
The house was painted white. With paint, and followed up with white wash, until time made it all stand still.
The grass in front has grown up now, and it’s covered the footpaths of those who had made the trek, from the front door and the back.
The tree are left looking dead, but the winter just holds them still, as another summer has passed, another fall has drifted by, leaving it all to memory.
