“Come on Evie, it will add on all those square feet, in a round-a-bout way” he said to her.
“But, Effie”, (sarcastically) “you’ll not know to make it square, it will be half rounded” she allowed.
“Aw woman” he said as he was running out of breath, “it will be the front door, for company coming, and your kitchen and dining room all in one, with bedrooms both ways” he said pointing this way and that, “ and it will be the only house like it, floating on this sea that we farm” the tiredness almost to take his excitement.
“Then do it Effie, make it strong, make it the point of the house where everyone wants to be” she finally said “and make it last longer than us” with just a little grin.
