May, Before The Heat

If you stand here long enough you can feel the warmth of your now dry shirt, with that little bake of salt that has poured right through your skin. Watch the sun in its greatness, though far away, bring its light down to you, where the tree limbs will protect you, as they are now full of that green leafed shade that covers the ground.

The grass is not yet high, the weeds are making making their way, and the birds, oh my goodness how they have poured in like the spring rains and song and dance and make the trees worth the songs that they sing. It is cool of a morning, you would spell H and O and T before you put it together and said it aloud.

The cicadas are on their way, yes and when summer breaks the days and nights will ring of their songs, and the wind will lie, and the rain will move back up in the sky, and summer will last and last. Enjoy the warmth of the spring.
