“The circus is in town” cried the monkey on the left, “three rings, under the tent, come one, come all” he screamed out loud.
The monkey on the right looked slowly around, “No one’s here” he muttered, barely out loud.
“We’re here!” the first one yelled “we’re here!!”
The second one said “Yes, we’re here.”
“Have fun in the BIG TOP!” number one hollered and screamed, too loud for their ears.
The second one thought, out loud “big top, big top, big top” sadly and staring in the distance, “one more time in the big top “ sadly, sadly, he stared.
No wind, it was hot, and the circus was not in town. Another day, and another day, watching the sun rise and fall, from their fading paint, from their tired seats,
the two monkeys sat, and watched, as no one walked by, as no one could see.
