New Leaves

Find the new leaves rocking forth from the branches, slowly, ever so slowly, pearling their way through time, curling with the correct respect, following the fold with spines always growing, and legs and arms encapsulated in green coverings, as it rolls forth from a branch on a single tree.

Each one, or two, or three, or thirteen will begin the turn of shadow, so close and so slow, that it will seem to appear instead of growing, and blossom instead of turning color, and of being the great green object that is one in a trillion of growth, on the God planted trees that surround us.
