Plains Coreopsis

As time runs its course; down the ways and through the sands, across the firm dirt and alleyways, on land so private that none would know it is there, to the passers-by, and wind blown traffic of people and their things of massive colors, loud noises, and squalling wheels caper through the world, the decoration abounds.

The calliopsis plays the beauty of the day, rocks gently and crazily on all its weird legs, staring at the sky, the ground and all in between. It’s tiny branches lift the flowers high, as all the world is theirs, and shows them bright and giddy.

They don’t last long, in the scheme of things, but long enough to be seen, and to see, those crazy things about them.
