Liberty School, on the hill looks down, upon the town itself, or perhaps, the town looks upward at the school.
The building is old, the paint is plastered, with paint on paint on paint. It’s managed to keep its place, across two centuries, teaching the children of one hundred and twelve.
The playground is simple, built to make children into strong adults, taking their turns on the highly made swings, the monkey bars, and threatening their very lives forever, with a running turn, to reach and grab, and hang on for dear life, to the merry-go-round so peaceful in its slumber.
The grass is grown complete around its narrow walls, shining time plays it windows. Play with me, and make it all come alive, again.
