New feathers have made his coat,
Each one so clear and complicated,
The pattern seems to be the loss of pattern,
As it runs from tiny cascades about his head,
And jewelry around his neck,
To plaits of armor that cover his body with the shield of color.
He is resting, as he relaxes from jumping across the water,
Standing on the plain, where the quiet marsh is alive,
And moving within, moving forward brings him life,
To where he can rest his head for the moment,
And think about taking them all.
