Should you walk slowly,
As the air through the trees,
You may see, what I see
And feel, what sadness brings.
Should you walk swiftly
As the morning waters fall,
I would take you happily
And expect nothing more at all.
Beside me, you may stay
As the loudness of a breath
And remember those who die,
Will remember the death.
When you are there, I will keep quiet
And I will speak nothing mean to you.
There will be no questions,
Of you, to you, as the sky is blue.
We will sit together, quietly
Beneath two different years,
And glad I’ll be that the earth is full,
And it will hold our tears .
