Snickerdoodles

This is basically one of the simplest cookie recipes to make. I tried my hardest to defeat that train of thought, and that and the ancient old cookbook that is falling apart, the ink that is about to come to naught, there are stains of vanilla, globs of flour, and seven different kinds of ink that it is written in, most of which was the faded scants of what I needed to know.

I realize that these pictures show that these did not come out to be perfectly rounded cookies, that they were not in little rounded balls of cookie dough, each taking up their precise measure of the pan, or that half of the cookies look white and the other half brown, but there were two determining factors in this result. One, how much cinnamon and sugar was to be used to coat the wet dough, and Two, was one supposed to add vanilla to the recipe or not. Two batch's, two ways of doing it.

The final result though was easy enough to figure out. These were darn tasty cookies, even though as a diabetic I could not imbibe to the amount that I used to eat, but the Mrs. took some and said they were incredible. It made about 60 cookies and smelled the house up real good while making them. Close to Christmas Cookies as we will get this year.

Merry Christmas
