Stand And Smile

Standing up, you see more things than when you’re sitting down.

Obvious statement.

Walk and you see more smiling faces, chances are their smiling at you, or with you, at something you do well, which is smile, and greet them back.

Hand shaking goes on when your not in a chair.

Hugs are absolutely in higher numbers, they happen when your upright, and smiling, and the feeling is there that you want to be hugged.

Sitting, pays the bills.

Standing, pays the heart.

Both invoices that need to be paid. Both need to happen.

Its amazing when you consider that the day before was especially lousy.

When you got calls from people you don’t care for, doing jobs you don’t like, maybe eating dinner alone, going to the store and find that you have to go to another just to find that one thing you are needing.

Fighting sleep, worrying about things you have little or no control over, waking up early, all those things that make your head crawl and make your sight just bleary enough .......

But, when you get to where your going the next morning, and you come walking in head down, furrowed brow, eyes staring blankly, your heart fairly stopped, by the coming day you just have to make....and you look up, and see one face, one person or two, with their brow down and the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Then they look up and see you smiling ..... it’s amazing , as you see them smile back at you.

The weight of the world begins to lift, off your shoulders, off his, and hers, and if you try, the whole day can be the inspiration that keeps you rolling .

It wasn’t anything that you said, or did grandiose, except smile.
