Stone

Rock, lying in peaceful slumber can cut you to the quick, leave blood laying on its skin and out of yours, and never move. It can hold you down and make life heavy, make it feel oppressed, and never show a breath.

The stone face you see is but the fragile point of the harbinger of this silent life, wrapping itself around your heart, choking slowly, all together, and never move.
