Tallon

This facade of rocks, broken and laid up horizontal, vertical, crooked and across the buildings front, trace the eleven windows that provide a clearness to the character of the place. It looks as though the rock layer started up one side, then did the other, and made the center pour down the middle.

Panes of glass are broken, with ragged curtains attempting to cover the loss, white blinds half up or half down, the shade from the awning throwing the sun from the porch, leaving those who sit and warm the seat on the crooked bench, their feet in the sun and their chests in coolness.

Dolls from a past generation stare at each other in the western windows, holding their lives up for shadowed display, watching each day come and go, come and go.
