Tell Me Mama

"Mama," she was asked, "When the people are gone, and the houses are slowly falling apart, and the ground looks like it has given up and nothing really grows, why is it that the trees start to die, and all the things seem to die together?"

She said "I've noticed that when human-life has left... all surrounding life dies, too... the only thing that takes over is the foliage from the earth that reclaims everything."

"God gave us the earths beauty to enjoy... all are living entities. I can't help but think that when we surround the trees with life, they serve their purpose, providing us with all the joys God intended... once we are gone, the trees lose their purpose in life... thus leaving too."

"Trees, like man... serve their purpose at their given time... once the journey is complete, they leave, but their roots or offspring continue on with life accordingly. "
