The Day Of Reckoning

He poured the light of the earth, down upon the land that surrounds this corner, the apex of the field, but kept it within the tone of the day, by wrapping this dark segment of the glistening sky, with clouds that require wisdom and care to see them through.

The day is broken on these three posts, this adventure to the other end, this beginning of the outset that troubles few and keeps the field in tact.

Barbed wire, with its two point set, is pouring in from the way off east, off west, meeting here, wrapped upon the anchor posts, signaling the confirmation of its journey.

The boards of rounded curve are standing as straight as time will allow, the change of posts is evidenced by those leaning softly against the old gate, with its no hunting sign, bare as wood can be.

The grass is deep outside, the inside shows the growth of a tended field. Let it rain.
