Facing west, it sits alone on the main road. She shows the peel of time, and weather, of paint and rust among the nails, and growth of the grass and weeds and woods.
It saddles sunlight like the days of yore, with leather gone and grass growing through, with framing wood turned to brittle bones of yesterday.
It’s almost spent, who knows what is kept? Coffee cans without labels, boxes of wood that bow and paper goods turned inside out, and the feelings of yesterday on newsprint so yellow. Watch it all turn into nature, once again.
