Apart from the tide, and the tide of people,
apart from the growth that doesn’t grow,
this mighty small tree, can seize the moment,
When one foot is all that is among the leaves,
The scraggly branch’s and inverted growth,
Can point the way to nowhere, and leave one spinning away,
As the gulf shall look like the gulf, and the shore will look like the shore,
No matter where one looks.
Most pointing down, some curled toward the sky, but one and only one left in some odd fashion, pointing the way to loss.
