This tiny thing, in giraffe print jammies,
Can hold my hand so tight,
As much as thirteen months
will allow,
Your fingers wrapped at least halfway up,
Your small pearly
thumb laid gently down, by the massive hand that holds you.
You control this tired old man, better than chains or whips,
Or unkind words, when,
Just because, you show your heart to mine.
