Waynoka

Go right down there to the edge of the fence, where the two pastures meet,

Oh you know, where his place meets up with mine,


Down where the cattle feed when there most likely to turn, down where their jaws roll their cud, and there eyes stare over til morning.


Two wheels on the gate, you’ll know it when you see them, wheels of long past that should last til another fifty years have passed, they are painted, blacker than night.


Go on down to the gait, reckon we’ll be there in a little bit, and you can see the sun make its way down over the hill.
